This Lettera 32 is a beautiful example of the renowned Olivetti portable typewriter. Manufactured in Italy in 1967, it is in excellent condition inside and out. The paintwork is in wonderful shape, as are the chrome and nickel plated parts. Along with its good looks, this typewriter types excellently, having been disassambled, cleaned and adjusted. With a new ribbon installed, it prints pica (10 cpi) in black and red.

As mentioned, this typewriter has been disassembled and thoroughly cleaned with an appropriate solvent. The typewriter's internals (including rubber grommets) are in very good condition, with minimal signs of age. The platen itself is in very good condition, with plenty of give. It and the paper feed rollers have been cleaned with rubber rejuvinator. The rubber feet are in very good condition and grip work surfaces well.

The leatherette case, which has been cleaned, is in really good condition for its age. So often, Lettera 32 cases end up with broken zips and stained interiors, but not this one. The interior has experienced light ageing, while the outside exhibits only light marks here and there.

Typing on this Lettera 32 is great, and its action is surprisingly light. Its dark glossy keytops are well shaped and responsive. The "L" and "N" keytops have a little surface delamination due to use, but this is not very noticeable. The Lettera 32 is also one of the more portable typewriters, coming in at approximately 5.9kg, with dimensions of 34x35x10cm.
