This is a beautiful example of one of the classics of the portable typewriter world: the Olivetti Lettera 32. Manufactured in Italy in 1966, it is in excellent condition inside and out. The slightly textured aqua-blue paintwork is perfect, and the chrome and plastic parts are in great shape. Along with its good looks, this typewriter types excellently, having been disassambled, deep-cleaned and adjusted. With a new ribbon installed on its original metal spools, it prints pica (10 cpi) in black and red.

As mentioned, this typewriter has been disassembled and thoroughly cleaned with an appropriate solvent. The typewriter's internals (including rubber grommets) are in very good condition, with minimal signs of age. The platen itself is in good condition, with ample give and grip for great typing. The platen and the paper feed rollers have been cleaned with rubber rejuvinator. The rubber feet are in very good condition and grip work surfaces well.

The leatherette case, which has been cleaned, is in really good condition for its age. So often, Lettera 32 cases end up with broken zips and stained interiors, but not this one. The interior has experienced light ageing, but the outside is in almost perfect condition. The handle is secure and can be used to carry the closed case.

Typing on this Lettera 32 is great, and its action is surprisingly light. Its dark glossy keytops are well shaped and responsive. The Lettera 32 is also one of the more portable typewriters, coming in at approximately 5.9kg, with dimensions of 34x35x10cm.

Included is an original user manual, which is worn but still very useful. Expertly packed for delivery within the UK or abroad.
